I am a licensed clinical psychologist helping individuals overcome problems associated with depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship difficulties. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), incorporating aspects of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), stress management, mindfulness, exposure / response prevention, and interpersonal / family-focused approaches,
depending on the
specific goals and needs of the client. In my work with clients, I emphasize evidence based psychotherapy, focusing on treatments supported by research. My approach is active and
present-oriented, aimed at helping clients address problems in the here and now.
In addition to helping clients find relief from depression/anxiety and address life problems,
I have a special interest in positive psychology that I incorporate
into my practice. Drawing on research in optimism, happiness, and positive
emotion, I work with clients to recognize and build upon personal strengths,
cultivate resilience, and enhance optimal functioning.
